HEAD CHEF

Keep it Simple Café are looking for a passionate and driven Head Head Chef who loves creating delicious food, to join our team fulltime in Milton

 

Start Date - 4 January 2021

Roster - 10 Day fortnight – Saturday one week/Sunday next

Salary – On application

 

Our philosophy and ethos as a company revolves around great people, quality Ffood & Beverage  and excellent customer service. The café’s menu is a combination of delicious short order options as well as a fresh fast-casual display cabinet. Grab & Go options for our guests.

 

The successful applicant must have the following skillset and experience:

 

  • 3+ years’ experience managing a kitchen;

  • Great communication and leadership skills;

  • Be hands on in a high-volume kitchen;

  • Comfortable interacting with customers;

  • Current food safety requirements and legislation;

  • Aptitude for innovation to design modern seasonal menus including; weekly specials with an understanding of available produce and associated cost management;

  • Effective and efficient management of the kitchen including stock control, ordering, liaising with suppliers and monitoring pricing;

  • Keeping up to date with cooking trends and best practice.

 

This is a front facing role. Our teams interact with guests daily. If you don’t like talking to customers, this job is NOT for you. We operate with a small team and our staff are all customer facing. We are a small yet dedicated team and our approach is friendly and customer focused.
